You can't miss the post office (daily except Fri 9am-4pm) and 24-hour telephone exchange on Midan Orabi, nor the passport office (Sat-Thurs 8am-2pm). You can change money at the Bank of Alexandria or National Bank of Egypt (both Sat-Thurs 8.30am-2pm, 5-8pm, Fri 8.30am-12pm; the latter takes Visa and MasterCard) just off Midan Orabi, but you'll get a slightly better rate for cash at the exchange at 22 Ahmed Orabi, near the Traveller's Hotel. There are several pharmacies , including one near the Isis on Sharia el-Horriya and another on Sharia Sa'ad Zaghoul. To buy or develop film , try either Kodak or Fuji, both near Groppi's. Fuji sells slide and Advantix film.
