East Delta buses to Cairo or Alexandria (most are A/C) leave from the northern side of Ferial Gardens (tel 066/226-883), while Superjet A/C services to Cairo depart from a depot near the train station (tel 066/328-793). To board either, you must first go through customs, so come half an hour early. The same goes for buses to Ismailiya or the Delta leaving from the depot on Sharia al-Amin, though passengers departing in service taxis often seem to avoid customs entirely.

 

To get to Limassol by ferry , the Princess Marissa departs around 7.30pm every Tuesday and Saturday in the summer (Tues & Fri in the winter), arriving in Limassol the next morning around 10am. The Saturday boat which arrives in Limassol at 10am on Sunday then departs for Haifa at 4pm, arriving in Haifa on Monday at around 8am. The fare to Limassol is US$120 per person one-way for a cabin (4 persons max). Tickets are available from Nasco Tours on Sharia Filastin, north of the tourist office (tel 066/329-500, fax 238-850).
